MVTA 2020/2021 Season Year-End Message

We ended this challenging season with over 20 trips even having lost December to COVID rules. Monthly meetings were shifted to Zoom. We also had solid membership growth. Full details in the article, click on the title.

In response to increases of COVID this fall in Vermont (and the nation), and in compliance with guidance by the State of Vermont, MVTA will not be running in person meetings. As of December 22, trips can now be run with standard protections. Please click article title for more details.

Green Mountain Club hits fundraising goal for new Bromley Mountain Observation Tower!

The Green Mountain Club reached its fundraising goal for the replacement of the observation on Bromley Mountain. The original Bromley Observation Tower was finished in 1962 to provide visitors with a 360 degree view of mountains in four states. Rebuilding this tower will benefit hikers and those that love the Southern Vermont Mountains for generations to come.
Nature Conservancy Looks to Purchase and Preserve 3,500 Acres on Glebe Mountain

The Nature Conservancy currently has an option to purchase 3,500-acres at Glebe Mountain and is raising funds for the purchase.
